1985 Merckx 753
Hey Guys. I'm currently selling my Reynolds 753 Merckx and am wondering what you would consider the value to be. 2 things that are worth noting is that I built up the frame with a full, period correct Suntour Superbe Pro group. It looks great and works better than any friction group I've used, but I understand I'm definitely not going to get the same money I would if it was a campy build. The second issue is a pair of bar dents on the top tube. The larger is probably about 3/8" around, the smaller only 1/8" or so. I've had the frame checked and alignment isn't an issue, I've also been riding it for close to a year without any problems.
Overall the bike's in great shape, it also has new tires, tape, hoods, cables, and brake pads. I live in Los Angeles and was hoping to get $700 for it, but considering the dents I'm wondering if that isn't a little idealistic. Check out the attached pictures and let me know what you think, any insight would be very much appreciated.
Best,
Chris

Dents kill the value. Part it out. The frame will hold down he value of the sun tour stuff, so you'll just be giving it away.

You can start at $700 (which I think is high) but you should take the first $500 that comes around.
