Found this bike from a Huntington beach bike shop, but don't have much info on it.

You're paying a premium for the bike because it comes from a shop. Presumably the bike works well and has been looked over and the bad parts replaced. Not a bad bike but not worth it at $350.

The saddle looks like it's seen better days. Interesting they didn't replace and then ask top coin - maybe because it matches the Hutchinson rubber one piece bar covering. If I were trying to pretty the bike up, first thing I'd replace, matching or no, because a worn saddle just looks out of place.

What would be the most you would pay for this bike?

A little pricey. Nice, bike, but components are nothing to get excited about. Vitus tubing?
These usually max out around $250. |
A lugged mirage or super mirage is typically a 1020 Hi tensile. This Mirage Sport is lugless, so it is likely Motolite tubing, MB's answer to Peugeot Carbolite. Does the frame decal say chromo on it? I doubt it is, as Chromo is called out on the Jubilee Sport, not the Mirage Sport.
http://www.equusbicycle.com/bike/mot...becane0010.jpg That's a $20 waterbottle and cage. I'm pretty square with Thinktubes on pricing, $225-$250. |
The best of the lot so far... still overpriced. Do you know your frame size? You're posting along a range, 53-57 cm.

Ya, I need a 55 cm, but I can't seem to find anything that size. I'm 5'8" with a 32" inseam.

be patient and get a good fit. 54-56cm are really common sizes, i wouldn't go outside that range. You live in an area with plenty of bikes for sale, keep searching....

56 and 54cm are more common size increments. Look for those too as they can be made to work for people with biodimensions like you with simple adjustments to stem legnth and seatpost heights. Do expect to end up with a "French fit" with a 56cm though......which could be OK as the Moto is a French bike after all.....
