A lot of this has been covered in the sticky at the top of this Appraisal thread. If you're doing more than a bike a month, buy in bulk.

niagaracycle.com
treefortbikes.com
pricepoint.com
nashbar.com

Just saw Bike Flipping 101. I will scan thru it but if you can add anything else, please do so. I'm a big fan of ventage bikes and bigger fan of C&V.

I've been using Niagaracycle a lot, since they have a large stock of less common items of decent quality but not expensive. I buy from Nashbar a lot too, but they tend to mostly have items for late models. For example, you won't find a good selection of quill stems (if any) on Nashbar, but Niagara has plenty to choose from.

I've been buying the Q-tubes from Niagara. So far they seem just fine and they offer them in almost every size and stem length I need.

I did also order from Harris Cyclery (who sponsor the late, great Sheldon Brown's site) recently when Niagara messed up their shipping charges and wanted a relative fortune to mail some shift cables. (I suspect someone had entered an erroneous weight in the system) I was pleased with how quickly I got my order from Harris, and they also had a cable hanger that nobody else had in stock.

Thanks for all info. Didn't know Harris was still out there. Years ago when I was an out of work engineer, a local Goodyear store that sold entry level bikes was having trouble getting them put together correctly by there min. wage delivery boys. I offered to put a few together for them at no charge and I did as much to them as if they were high end bikes. Serviced and tuned. they sold them and they had no problems. Then it snowballed and I started getting calls for maint and repair from the public. Almost opened up a bike shop before I got the call to move to a new town for an engineering job. It was hard for me to leave and close my blooming business but I had a new baby. This is 30 years later and I'm retired.
