The good thing about handlebar tape is that almost any tape will look good on a C&V bike. I am using good ol' Cinelli cork tape. It's cheap, so I don't mind replacing it relatively often.

I use Bike Ribbon Pro. It's cheap, cleans up nicely, and looks good imo.

I use whatever foam or cork tape is onsale cheap on Ebay or elswhere online for bikes I sell. Also bargain bin golf club at bigger sporting good stores is another option I have used.

I prefer cotton tape on bikes that demand that period correct bar covering...

I used to think cottom tape was a bit "slight" on the handlebars, but I've grown used to it.
I think I may even put it on some of my modern bikes.
