Curious what this might be. Model/material

Looking for a cheepish touring bike that will ride nice.

Not a touring bike in the true sense of the word. Looks like a rather low-end road bike with "turkey levers" - anytime I see the "brake safety levers," if you will, I'm usually underwhelmed. There is a model name on the top tube, yes? That would come in handy here, can't read it in the least.

Yea I can't read it either. I thought the tires looked wide enough that it might be a 'touring" bike

Ah, OK. Doesn't look like a triple crank to me so 21 speed is doubtful, but who knows. Hope the seatpost is included with the saddle! Low-end Giant road bikes are generally OK; this one might be a Perigee or similar. For $65, though, dunno....might need a ton of work. I'd probably pass, but that's just me.
