Bridgestone RB-1
Hey, I know that this same bike has come up quite a few times, but I wanted to see what people thought about one I found in my area. The price is $400 and the bike has Shimano 600 Ultegra shifters. The owner says the bike has a couple of "dings," but none that compromise the integrity of the frame. He also reinforces the bottom bracket. I'm checking on whether any of the parts have been changed out, but I think they are mostly originals.
I haven't seen it in person, but, assuming everything is as described, does this seem like a good price? From what I've seen, it looks like a great price, but perhaps the less-than-perfect condition devalues it more than I think. Here are the pictures I have:

I can't really tell where the dings are from those pictures - I'm reading this on an iPhone. - but noticeable dents in the frame tubes really kill the value of a bike. If you can see the dent from 10 feet, take off $100 or more. If the dents are really unsightly, then the bike becomes a collection of parts on a worthless frame. Not worthless like it can't be ridden, but worthless like the cost to repair and repaint exceeds the value of the repaired frame.

I can see a large dent in the top tube about 1/3 back from the head tube. Also, not sure what "reinforces the bottom bracket" means?
Personally, I think it's a parts bike and the price is way to high.

I don't think that is a dent you're seeing; pretty sure it's leftover from a decal. Here's another 1992 rb-1 that shows what it might have looked like.
I'll have some more pics tonight, though.

Something doesn't look quite right on that bike. Which model year is it? I love my RB-1 but I wouldn't pay $400 for the bike if it has visible dings. I have no idea why the S is telling you that the frame is reinforced at the BB.

Seller appears to be making up some stuff as he goes along, proceed with caution and as much knowledge as you can gather.
