Does this look like a fillet brazed schwinn?
I was too slow to get this off the local Craig’s list (original ad is deleted.) Rear drop outs and the top of the seat stays look to me like it is a fillet brazed Schwinn. Not sure about the fork crown, nor if there is chrome at the end of the front fork or not.
It was listed at $70. Did I miss a deal? Can anyone ID the model/year?
Thanks in advance.
(Yes I noticed the handles bars are not lined up.)

1984 Le Tour Luxe touring bike. Suntour Mountech group with top mount symmetric shifters. Very nice bike assuming the rear derailleur is in good shape (they were known for not being super reliable). Assuming ready to ride, it would have been a deal at 70- if it needed a lot of work, then 70 would have been about right. I sold one recently for 180.

"1984 Le Tour Luxe"
Made by Panasonic i assume? And I assume a lugged frame? Or TIG welded? I could not see any lugs in the (poor) photo, but then again my eyes are not what they used to be.

I would agree looks like a 84-85 Le Tour Lux. This was Schwinns basic entry level touring model at $80 it would be a good deal. Real nice examples of these ready to ride go for about $200 as picured I would say this one was worth $125 or so. you have to be fast on bike like this on CL that pop up at flip level prices they usually last only a day or so.

Made by Schwinn in Greenville, MS. Lugged double butted 4130 chromoly. This one was definitely an '84, the '85 had cantilever brakes (and Columbus tubing).
