Vintage Flandria Road Bike
New to the forums and vintage bikes. I'm looking to use this as a commuting bike for around/on campus. The guys is asking $125 and from some previous posts, I can see it's probably not worth that. I would like to know how much it is worth. It looks like I'd have to replace the rear tube, and it's a 58cm frame. Thanks for the help in advanced!!!

Well for a college town the price isn't bad. But I would say it's a bit high considering the paint and rear tire wheel $75-100 would be more reasonable. Does look like it whould make a nice rider for getting around if it's you size.

The fork looks to be bent and might have already been replaced. The wheels don't match, another red flag in my book. I have a couple of Flandria bicycles in The Old Shed right now and neither is particularly impressive. If the bike presented by the OP were in good shape, then the price would be pretty good. But the bike does not appear to be in good condition, in my opinion, and I would pass unless I knew how to gauge and repair damaged frame/fork sets.

It is, however, in Radford, where the local university once misspelled "Virginia" on all their diplomas.

Also appears that the original 27" wheels have beed replaced by 700c - look at the huge vertical clearances. I think 125 is high for this one.
