Harry Havnoonian 531 1978

Hi Everyone I am looking to sell this Bicycle and a good friend of mine directed me to your site. I have thought about e-bay etc, but decided i would post here first. I have no idea what it would be worth and have pictures it is pretty much in original shape has some minor dings and scratches. Original Leather seat and Leather strap's on the foot peddles. I had it tuned up, new tires, and brakes which took the guy for a twirl because the back ones are backwards per Harry Havnoonian signature. I live in Boone, NC and feel this Road Bike would be loved more by someone who would use it as it should be used. I found this bike in my parents basement no one knows how it ended up there so I brought it back home and had it fixed up for about $200.00... I think it has been down there since 1980 no kidding.
I will post pictures from my ipad later just curious as to what some of you may think before pictures are displayed.

It's worth about a buck-three-eighty.

Notable name, but not going to guess on a value without pictures. I don't think I'm alone here.

Post pictures.

Nice looking bike. If it has been sitting idel in a basement for 20 some years it would require a complete overhaul of all the bearings. That saddle doesn't look like an '80s vintage one to me.

Judging by this pic it needs a lot of cleaning to get top dollar. Like old cars, well any car, the cleaner they are the easier it is to get top dollar.

The builder isn't well known, and with the folks he is known with, he's not especially well regarded. Mid-level mish mosh Frankenstein of parts and you as a seller won't get top dollar without being a bike nerd. Not an ideal size either. I think you'd be lucky to break $350 on this in a decent market (I don't know what Boone, NC is like) - and that might be ambitious.

I could probably get $400 - $450 with good photos and a well written ad in Philly, but it wouldn't sell fast.
