It looks to be in great shape but I think it is a bit over priced. Bianchis do command a high price but I think this should be closer to $500. The frame is somewhere between CroMor and SL (it was made just for Bianchi) and the components are all midlevel stuff. It is a quality bike and good rider but I wouldn't pay $850 for it.
Personally I think this looks to nice to start using it as commuter especially if your going to ride it in the rain. It does have eyelets but I bet fenders would be a tough fit. By light touring do you something like an over night or weekend credit card tour? While a largish trunk bag on a rack might work OK on this trying to put some hefty panniers may make it squirrely
