What road frame has an embossed 'B' on headtube?

One of my occasional bike sources (a scrap-metal guy who covers rural territory near me) called me today to ask if he should buy a bike his neighbor has in a barn. He described mostly old 105 on a steel road frame. the frame decals are gone, but at the bottom of the headtube (I think--his bike terminology isn't great) there is an embossed 'B'. He said it's a light road frame. Guy doesn't have a camera. Any help on this? Bridgestone? Basso? Bueller....Bueller...?

Just guessing obviously, but some Bianchis have the B on the fork crown, which would put the Bs pretty much right at the bottom of the headtube. What is puzzling is he was able to identify 105 components but saw no head badge or other frame decals? Bianchis are loaded with decals typically.

A lot of '80s Bianchis also had a B on the top of the downtube/headtube lug. Bates maybe? but that likely would not have 105 on it.
One morning you wake up, the girl is gone, the bikes are gone, all that's left behind is a pair of old tires and a tube of tubular glue, all squeezed out"

Bertoni? I think made by bianchi. Imported "house brand" for Ben Lawee. Almost always painted in metallic pastel colors. B behind the head tube.
