Is Shimano 600 Arabesque add value to bike?

Hi all. I have a pretty clean 83 Univega Sportour with Shimano Arabesque shift levers front and rear derailuers. Does the Arabesque have added vallue to the bike?

Components can add value to a bike when they're "better" than the frame. For example, putting Dura Ace on a bike that came with 105. The reverse is true, if you put crap on a nice frame it'll be worth less.

My guess is that the Arabesque neither adds nor subtracts any value. Can we see pictures?

No. It's a nice looking and very pretty group, but really does not add value to any bike it is on.

While a cool looking group the 600 Arabesque is a fairly midling component. That often came on some pretty basic bikes. These parts do sell for some pretty good prices on EBay but nothing special. As for adding value to a complete bike no much. The typical buyers for a 83 Univega with this level of parts likely won't know or care.
