Schwinn Paramount Series 3 PDG

It's not one built by Waterford, but I like its pretty colors. Is the asking price fair or on the steeper side? I've been thinking about building up something townie-like and using a partial 7400 group that has been sitting in my parts bin.

If you have parts and want to do a build up I am sure you can get a nicer frame cheeper. My instinct is its a steep but fair price, so having to rebuild makes it a bit too steep. Also, thats a pretty small frame, hope you are of smaller stature for that bike to fit you.

^ +1 On size, for probably 5'5" or under.

Looks like a 600 tri color Ultegra group on the bike, which is a well regarded vintage component group. I think for SF, $400 is okay, but if you can get it for $375, go for it.

No it's RX-100, check the RD. Great solid group but not worth much.

$400 would be way too much for that bike here. Someone had that frame built up with 600 Ultegra tri-color at $350 (?) and it took forever to sell.

I really like those frames though and do agree with the OP's plan of putting nicer components on. I'd have no problem putting Dura Ace on that frame. But given the price and the fact that you're mostly buying a frameset I'd pass. No way I'd pay more than $300 for the complete bike.

Photo is low resolution. If RX100, I concur with FastJake on $300.
