I believe they are around $1400 new, and if it truly is almost new, and you truly like it, then I don't think it's a bad price. It does look very clean in the photos.

As long as you never ever let it out of your sight, it's the perfect commuter. Otherwise, fuggedaboutit. Too much eye candy for those with battery powered grinders.

Fairly nice bike the price seems about right if stated condition is accurate. I wouldn't want to use this one either as a commuter it is more of a road bike and would be very tempting for thieves.

Too new for my taste but looks like a nice machine. Steel is always a good commuter

I think they are comparable but look to me to be two different sizes. The Bianchi looks more like a 59 or 60. which is your size?

I would say both are some very nice road entry level race bikes at pretty fair prices. The thing is niether is well suited for commuting both high end theft targets, tight geomtry with little or no room for none clipped pedals, larger tires, fenders or rack all of which one may want on a cummuter at some point.

They both have pros and cons. The Lemond has a higher level groupset but is older and likely has more miles. Its really going to come down to size. What I can tell you is, if you park either of those bikes at a bike rack, they WILL BE GONE. You can't be cautious enough. I like to ride nice bikes as much as the next guy but buy two. One to enjoy one to ride to school and the cafe.

+1 to above.
It only costs $40 + tax and battery + 45 seconds to steal your new ride.
