Looking for info on multiple older bikes- rough shape
OK so the story is my uncle gave my dad a bunch of older bikes years ago....and they have just been sitting out behind a barn in the sand. I have been trying to find out what exact bikes they are and some history behind them. Would be nice to know if any are worth fixing up! =) I don't know anything about older bikes and tried the general search and look through the internet (ebay and all sorts of places) and eventually found this forum, it seems like a great place to get some sort of starting point for these bikes. Here is an album with all the pictures I have, i can always take more or go look for specific things if you guys need anything else =) Thanks in advance for any help!

For the most part, unfortunately, they are not worth much, if anything...others may give more details...but...the only one I saw that might even be worth something is the Nishiki...but...

Condition is so poor, and none of them would be valuable even if they were in great shape. So, not worth sticking money in to fix them. Maybe $20 on the Nishiki? I wouldn't pay anything for the rest.

Ah, kinda figured that would be the case! Oh well, was worth it to ask XD Thank you!

You can always list them as best offer - someone may take one or two as ornament. The ones which are in better shape - strip them, clean what you can and sell parts separate (or as lot).
Frames - pretty them up, check for damage, may be wax and polish and sell them to fixie crowd |
In Lancaster, I'd think they want motocross dirt bikes, not rusty bicycles! Anyway, my suggestion rather than toting them to the scrap yard is to call Valley Bikery Cooperative and to find out if they want them. You could get a tax deduction worth more than $20.
