Shimano 600ex freewheel hubset

What should I pay for a 600 freewheel hubset? I recently purchased a '87 Scwinn Super Sport and was considering building up some white deep Vs for it. After some considering I cant decide if I should buy a new (used) set of 600 hubs or use the current ones. I want to use a freewheel hub so I can run it single speed if I choose.

Condition determines everything. New-old-stock in-the-box can go for more than $200.

If you build it up to use with x speed freewheel - it will be dished to accommodate the chainline and freewheel width. So if you will use SS freewheel later on - you will likely have to re-space/move the axle and redish the wheel. Build it with cassette hub - use cassette for geared setup and cog and spacers for SS, just my 2 cents.

I myself not a big fan of SS cassettes and use WI freewheels on my SS rigs. If I was in your situation I would just do two wheelsets if you are keen on using multispeed freewheel
