With upside down out of focus pictures $75-100.

Agree presentation is key to maximizing return. Also, fix the seat, looks stupid at the downward angle. Should be basically level. Fix the loose rear cable housing, missing a top tube cable clamp. If you don't have one, a zip tie temporarily will at least help.

Chrome lugs are a plus but overall condition is rough. Probably $100 to $150 to the right buyer. Bear in mind any potential buyer will need to make a fair investment in order to make it road-worthy. Needs a lot of attention.

What should I do with it? I paid 300 for it a month ago when I was desperate for a bike. Guess I got ripped off. Is the frame any good? Thinking about turning it into a cyclocross bike. The one redeeming quality the bike has is how well it handles bad weather conditions. It may be old, heavy and slow, but it rolls right through the snow. It's been a decent winter bike in the month I've had it, just wish it had more giddy up

Not a cross bike candidate in my opinion. Clean it up, carefully! Lots of threads on here discussing tips and tricks. List on Craigslist, better pics, of course. Mention vintage appeal, chrome lugs, etc. List for $300 OBO if you want. See if you get any interest, if not, decide how low you want to go, I guess.

From what are you saying - you like it overall and it fits you. Can you elaborate on "more giddy up"? If you want to go faster you can look at pedaling more :-) Or upgrade components to lighter stuff, faster tires, etc (again if you like otherwise and it fits)

Replacing the tires with some 27x1" panaracer paselas would help you get more giddy up over the knobby kendas you've got on there now.

Well not high end bike but considering the chrome lugs, and socks on the frame, barends, full alloy components VX which are pretty decent. Nicely presented cleaned up a bit with good photo's you should be able to get $250 in most markets. So not real big loss if you got some ride out of it.

Do you like my steel dealer sign. its four feet long. Goes with the bike.

zukahn1 02-14-14 11:08 PM

Well I would sell it seperately on EBay the dealer sign to the right collector if in good shape is worth $75 or so.
