Mid 1990s Specialized Allez Sport
I came across a mid 1990s Specialized Allez Sport on Craigslist. The seller is asking $75 and it seems like a steal for what it is. Any opinions or comments on the bike? I posted pictures. I'm going to go look at it in a couple days. What does anyone think the value of the bike is?

That looks in great shape. If it fits go look now.

Not in the pictures provided. ? I take it you have further information that i don't. But that bike is priced low enough for me to be suspect, so I asked.

incazzare.
Most people can't prove ownership. The best thing to do is go look, talk to the seller in person and make a judgement. Most of the time it's just a clueless seller or one who just wants to be rid of the bike, not a thief.

Guarantee it is long gone . If it were posted in my area , it would already be hanging in my garage .

I was able to get the guy to hold on to it until today and I went and got it. The seller had no clue how nice of a bike it is. All I have to do is clean and lube it up, swap out the seat, and throw on some new bar tape and the thing will be in near perfect condition. Thankfully I live in place where the bike market is the opposite of hot!

I don't know if I should be more surprised about the great deal or that you got someone on craigslist to hold something for more than 10 minutes. Congrats on both
