1987 serotta

looking for an appraisal for a 1987 serotta nova special x. havent seen it in person yet but it looks like good condition with a few paint chips. also does anyone know what components were original for this bike? it has mostly dura ace but campy hubs and cranks. also worth noting that the bike has been listed on the bay a couple time sand not gotten any bids. starting bid was 700 once and 750 once and no bids. thanks

...nobody here is gonna take a shot at value without some photos. Just the way it is.

I can tell you I bought this onehttp://bikeforums.net/attachment.php...hmentid=367176 a couple of years ago here for 600 bucks, and thought it was underpriced by $100-200, locally (NorCal).
I think the frame is about that old, but it hung in a shop for a long time unsold, and got built with newer stuff. Good, solid bikes.

I've bought two Serottas over the years, a road and a track, for 400$ combined. That is the extreme lower end of the market, frankly.

Serotta made frames; you'll see them built up with a variety of groups/mixes. My roadie had Campy Victory on it at time of purchase.

We really need much more information. Not only photos, but frame size can have an outsize effect on pricing.

Well selling a maize and blue bike in Red Rock Country is dumb! Needs to be sold in Ann Arbor! :). $700 seems about right, even with the paint scuffs.

i bought a minty Serotta, all Dura Ace, with a set of shoes and wheels for mid $800's two years ago. Never bothered to figure out the model, but it I think it may be a Colorado.
