1962 Huffy Sportsman

Greetings from Florida
I am seeking the attainable worth of my bike. My brother Mike J converted it for me. Unfortunately I need to liquidate everything I don't use daily (hey, things are tough all over). He posted photos of it some time back, on his thread "1962 Huffy Sportsman Drop-Bar Conversion." I ask that some/any of you look at it and give me an idea of what I might sell it for. I would appreciate your educated estimates.

And yes, >sigh<, I know it's a Huffy and not up to the standard of what most of you collect, so please be kind in your replies.

Not a really a Huffy, but rather, a Nottingham-built, Raleigh clone. Equal in value to other clones, like Sunbeam, Triumph, Robin Hood, Hercules, of a similar year and condition (condition is everything!). They seem to fetch around $100 depending on the market; Cities, and College towns are higher in general. Unfortunately, one can find similar bikes at yard sales for anywhere from $15 to $50, as well!
There might be a minor "penalty" in value because of the "Huffy" label (synonymous with junk, usually). But you really need to have pictures of said bike , particularly from the drive side, in order to get anyone to venture a more accurate guess.
Check CL in your local area for Three speeds that are listed above and you will get a better idea of their going value. These "Huffleighs" though, are great for theft deterrence, as the Huffy brand has virtually no interest with quick flipping thieves....

There are photos of it under the "1962 Huffy Sportsman Drop-Bar Conversion" thread that my brother posted on this forum. To me it's a beautiful bike. He put drop-down racer-type handlebars on it at my request, and another seat, other than that it is all original.

At least I'm glad to know that it has theft deterrence. Better than an alarm or a big chain, eh?
