72 Schwinn Tandem
I am thinking about making an offer for a '72 Schwinn tandem in average condition. What would you consider a fair price?

72 Schwinn Tandem
I had one for 25 years. Sold it last summer. Sold for $200. It was in average condition. Maybe its a regional thing but they seem popular around the Chicago area. Usually listed on CL from $200-300. Tandems from the '60's go for more money. They have enclosed chaincase, big chrome fenders, etc.

Tandems are weird - there isn't much demand, but there isn't much supply. Standard price on a Twinn in my area seems to be 150-200ish...they can sell quickly or slowly depending on who's looking and who has the garage space. Nice tandems can sit at attractive pricing just because there doesn't happen to be a buyer at that size - while some go quickly, high, because the right guy has been looking for two years.
If you're looking for rhythm or reason to tandem pricing, good luck.
