My neighbor threw away this bike a couple of weeks ago. I just couldn't watch it be chucked like that. I'm pretty new to bike repair, but I'm also a student at the University and don't have a large amount of free time. Anyway, I was wondering if this is worth anything (monetary or even time wise). I looked up the year by using the Schwinn online serial number registry. It's a women's Suburban I think 53cm (it's 21 cm from center of crank to top of the seat stem.

Clean it up nicely, take some decent outdoor photos, and list it for $100.

Worth the save. It will need some stuff like brake pads/holders as they come as assemblies now. probably at least one brake and one shift cable, long originals moved the the front brake, front derailleur. Orphan rear rack bracket could go away. Not crazy for speedos.

I agree, a hundred bucks or so. Since you're at a university, you might get a little more from a student looking for a bike.
