Trying to figure out value of vintage purple/blue 1972 Raleigh Competition

Hello to all!!
I joined this forum to find out more about a bike that I have owed for years. Originally bought in 1972 and ridden for about 1000 mi max and then lost interest; boyfriend who encouraged me to ride and I split up. Bike has been stored in CO since.

Purple and blue Raleigh Competition
Reynolds 531 Butted Tubes
Simplex shifters
Weinmann centerpulls
Carlton brake hoods
Weinmann rims - tubular tires
Nervar crankset
Brooks Professional saddle

Any ideas? Planning to sell the bike but want it to go to someone who will appreciate it.
M

Reads like a great vintage bike that could be worth a lot but pics are needed about half the bikes I see marketed as competion or proffesional Raliegh Carltons in good condition simply are not.

The purple/blue combination Competitions are kinda rare. As an artist I find the color combo very appealing. But for some reason the Competitions in this color scheme are really not sought after. I have seen a couple sell on ebay for around $200. Surprised me that they sold so cheap. If its literally got 1000 miles on it and the bike is really clean and mechanically sound i would venture its value at $3-400.
