So it is from 90. How much do you think it is worth?

I can give you some general info.
The Technium line was built between 1987 and 1993 by Raleigh USA. Essentially it was Huffy Corp buying the rights to the Raleigh name in the US so they could sell a somewhat upscale line without calling it Huffy. Raleigh USA built these in Kent, Washington, just outside Seattle, to enlist the help of Boeing engineers for bonding dissimilar metals - that's the Technium process. There are many combinations of metals, but the most common is aluminum frame tubes bonded to cromoly lugs, which is what I believe your bike has. Looks like your bike has a Suntour 6 or 7 speed downtube shifting group, but I can't tell from the pix. |

To my knowledge, the Technium line varies in the aluminum used for the tubes and the groupset. I have a '91 Technium Pro and an '89 Technium PRE both 58cm. They PRE uses Suntour Accushift while the Pro is Shimano 105. Both are rolling on 700x20 tires. Great bikes in my opinion and great bargains when compared to steel bikes with similar components.
Only difference I have noticed is a difference in the lug size when comparing models. I can only guess that they are different based on the alloy used and needing to keep the same strength. I attached pics to compare. At any rate, I picked up the PRE last night for $50 and the Pro last year for $60. I got good deals though and have seen them sell for $100+ http://bikeforums.net/attachment.php...hmentid=388920http://bikeforums.net/attachment.php...hmentid=388925 http://bikeforums.net/attachment.php...hmentid=388921http://bikeforums.net/attachment.php...hmentid=388923 http://bikeforums.net/attachment.php...hmentid=388922http://bikeforums.net/attachment.php...hmentid=388924 |
Merged the duplicate from C & V into this one.

I like both of those bikes, Joe.
