(vintage) Bicycle Quarterly

I have a complete set which may be missing 1 issue but I'm not positive yet. they've been read twice; once for fun and once for content. i'll probably scan any article I really want to keep.

Q: any resale value?

I bought them all about 15 months ago, so they haven't been sitting in a wet garage for 10 years!

thanks

No idea but to the right person it may be worth something. Would you consider scanning and posting somewhere as a public service to fellow Bianchist. I know I would appreciate it! I'm sure others would too!

Jan Heine wouldn't appreciate it. In fact, he might sue for copyright infringement.

48 issues/ how many hours would it take? and correct, there are regulations regarding this.

but I would sell them; there's a trove of information therein.

Yep...agree that there would be copyright infringement.

Any idea on price for all? (Of course, that should probably go in the C&V "For Sale" section)

A dedicated document scanner could make quick work of it.

Unless the original publisher is making a killing off of selling back issues or has his own website, a licensing/revenue sharing arrangement from ads could be crafted.

Sorry, didnít realize Bicycle Quarterly was still around. When I saw vintage, I assumed it was long gone. Anyhow, I found the website and itís very cool. Thereís tons of interesting info and history there.

I offered the lot to one member for 200$ - 48 issues published to date. shipping would take 2 boxes USPS priority flat rate @ 17.45 = 35. it didn't pan out. I know someone who might put them on his ebay sight.

I bought them by volume @ 32 = 8 per issue. I think BQ absorbed shipping. they are about a year + half old - and have been kept warm & dry!

You should look at media mail rates, a whole lot less for educational purposes.

unfortunately, magazines have advertising and cannot be sent 'book rate'. I've been down this road before... and have no reason to fib in order to save someone a couple of dollars.
