52cm 1980s Azuki Gran Sport 12

Started out learning bike mechanics on this bike until I discovered it was too small for me!

I think the bike is a 52 cm, I measured from the middle of the bottom bracket to the top of the seat tube, it was 20.5 inches. (new bike is 56cm...much less neck and wrist pain!)

Doesn't currently have a seat on it cause I broke the stupid bolt. A new one gets here this week, I have an extra seat I would just throw on it if I sold it though.

Recent work:
1) New cones + bearings front and back
2) Recently repacked bottom bracket
3) New chain
4) New jockey wheels, using a shimano to suntour conversion kit.
5) Everything else cleaned, adjusted, and lubricated (freewheel, crank, brakes, derailer etc)
6) New bar tape
7) Both wheels trued

I'm thinking of selling it but I have just a couple questions:

1) How much would it be worth? (including a cheapie seat)
2) Do the gatorskin tires (~500 miles on those) and rear rack add anything to the value, or should I take them off and distribute them to friends and family members?
3) May not be able to answer this...but it appears the reach difference between this one and my current bike is around 3 or 4 inches. Would some kind of extender or something be in the cards and I could just use this as a beater?

Got the bike for free through a series of trades. Came with a brooks saddle to boot! I'm going to hold on to that though

I’d keep the Gatorskins also. Get some $10 tires on it. You got a Brooks Saddle, set of Gatorskins and a rack - all set for a nicer bike. Agree that $125 - $150 should be a good selling price.

Good point I didn't think much about it but the tires are worth better than half the bikes value and don't add much to final sale price. On a used bike from experiance I can say tires that match and look good are about the same sale price wise wiether there $4/5 good used tires or $60/70 new top end gator's.

Thanks for the input everyone!

I've already upgraded to a 2013 Trek 1.5 and since I live in apartment I don't have the room for two bikes My brother just got a bike with 27" wheels, sounds like he's about to receive an upgrade!

Just wanted to update, ended up selling it for $175 with the tires, rack, and a $10 seat from the LBS.

Didn't make out that well considering the price of the tires, but my brother ended up getting another bike so I didn't have anyone to gift them to. Your guys's bike prices seem to have been spot on though

The woman that bought it said she bought it mostly for the tires because of the glass in the streets in Oakland so it seems like she'll get good use out of the gatorskins
