Did Peugeot Make Columbus-tubed bikes? Ever seen one?

The search for my son's high school bike continues . . . I ran across this odd little bike that I cannot identify.

From the mediocre photos, it appears to be blue, decaled as a Peugeot in the mid-'80s "rainbow" graphics, with the remnants of a Columbus frame decal. Windowed lugs, cable guide on the top tube. "12 vitesses" decal on the DS chainstay. No chrome socks on stays. Fork is a different color than the frame, might be chrome but the photo is too poor to tell. Has some decent bits - Mavic crank, brakes, dark anodized rims; looks like Shimano FD; can't see much else.

I am not familiar with a Peugeot using Columbus tubing. The only one I found in the catalogs was 1989 "Athena" (in US and French 1989 catalogs) but it had little chrome socks and by then Peugeot was not using the rainbow graphics. There is another Columbus SLX model in the 1994 catalog, which also doesn't look like this bike. Neither of those bikes used Mavic or

The bike interests me because it is a 52 cm bike that isn't low-end, and even if it is a frankenbike, it might be decent. I have extra Mavic RD FD and shifters in the parts bin, so he could easily have a "tout Mavic" school ride (okay, "presque tout Mavic")

Peugeot did near the end, about the same time they went beyond the borders for components.

So, I bought it. Photos are here - the worst of the rust is on the fork crown, and on one of the top tube cable guides, the rest of the bike is cosmetically "used but not too bad", with the occasional paint nick.

Could I get a rough estimate of value as-is? Thanks.
