Need help identifying this bike!

Hi, I'm a student fresh out of high school looking for a good quality road-bike to ride around for fun. I was offered this one for $180(CAD) imgur: the simple image sharer, and I'm wondering if anyone can identify this bike, and tell me if its a good buy.
Thanks!

Can't tell much but it looks like a very basic machine, possibly with steel wheels. If your in a place like Vancouver or Toronto is may be an OK deal but I wouldn't go near it at $180US

Turkey levers (the auxiliary brake levers connected to the main levers) and stem mounted shifters are signs of a lower end bike, usually from the 1970s or early 1980s. If rims are steel, that is a big negative (poor wet braking, heavy ). Miyata is at least a recognizeable make, but nothing exciting.

Value depends somewhat on location. Some cities are expensive bike markets. Also, lower end bike value is somewhat seasonal. In one of those, in the height of summer, that bike might fetch $150+. In most markets, $100-ish.
