Pinarello ID and Value?

I've had this Pinarello for awhile, Campy components of course. Just wondering if anyone can tell me approx. year of production, model name, value? Thanks, Chris.... Just relocated to Boise Idaho and will probably part with this as I have not intentions of riding it. Thanks...

I think it is a Montello, is there a bridge between the two chainstays? Is there a tubing decal on the frame? The components look to be mostly Record, can you take a photo of the hubs? Tubular wheels kind of hurt the value but, if it is a Montello, this would've been the top offering from Pinarello so I'd place a value of $800 on it if you want to sell the bike quickly, $1000 if you have some time. The size of the frame is desirable and the paint and decals look very good, which is often rare on these Pinis. I think it is from 1983 or 1984, I believe this colour scheme was for the LA Olympic games.

I should add that you need to take better photos of the bike and it's components if you sell it on CL. A bright but overcast day is good with the bike up against a white wall or garage door. The nice saddle is also a selling point, I cannot tell which seat post is on the bike....list everything and take photos of everything. Look at some ebay auctions to get an idea of what people are looking for in the description of the bike.

It may have a Record crankset but the brakes and rear derailleur are Chorus.

Mine is worse. Yours is a Montello in Supmoni color scheme. The color scheme was introduced around 1987/8. Prior to that the color scheme that looked a lot like it was called Italian Ice. Look at he cats @bulgier.net - /pics/bike/catalogs/. The DT decal commemorates 1988 so it can't be older! Check date codes on parts. SN? It is on the BB

For me, the top of the line should have tubulars. Nice that you at least have all Campy, even though it is mixed. Mine is all DA which was an option. My pics here: https://www.flickr.com/photos/112094...7644887326301/

I think that it is in really good shape compared to mine, yours still have the decals. I even copied a picture of the one above the shifters for reference! I also own a Colnago Superissimo. The Pin is a better bike in terms of quality of workmanship, paint and decals are about the same or worse. It is a wonderful frame to ride.

Around here, I was given an estimate of about $900 to $1100 for mine but advertise for $1200. I went for $1400 because I didn't want to sell it but promised to try and was approached by 3 people.

Don't sell youself short on this beauty! Some are die hard Pin fans and would love to own one. Having all Campy is a plus. Small effort to get to the same group unlike complete conversion for mine.

BTW: I was told that in this time frame Pin gave into the demand for DA group due to the "superior" performance and preference by racers for DA. I would still perfer Italian on Italian, even though the DA 8speed is flawless!
