Tiny Cannondale
I picked this 1993 Cannondale R 700 TT tri bike up off a scrap truck 4 blocks from the scrap yard he was going to. Paid him more than the scrap value but I think I did Ok. I hate to see a good bike get melted. I assumed it was a 700c bike but it turns out it is 650 after close inspection. The bike is missing the rear 105 derailleur, the seat , seat post, pedals, and the chain. I have a 105 RD in my parts bin. I should have a seat post or I can get one pretty easy. Not sure if the original grip shifters work or not yet. They click. It is too small for me or anyone in my family to ride so I will sell it.
I need to know its value to see what I will do to it? If the grip shifters work and it is cleaned up, lubed with new cables housing and bar tape, how much? Drop bars with down tube shifter? Drop bars with 105 brifters? Thanks http://www.vintagecannondale.com/year/1993/1993.pdf http://i951.photobucket.com/albums/a...psb7b1dc11.jpg |
Well isn't that a coincidence, good save! :) I can tell you that I paid $200 for the R500 from the other thread. This is lower than I usually see Cannondales go for on Milwaukee CL, where ones of that vintage (though in larger size) usually sell for $250-$350. Perhaps somewhere in that range?
