1971 Peugeot PX-10 Repainted

Looking at possibly purchasing this PX-10. 57cm. Ad has been taken down, going to meet up tomorrow. From what I remember of the ad the the bike has been repainted, Suntour cyclone FD, VGT?RD, stronglight 42/52 crank, wheels also aren't original. mafac racer brakes and levers, avocet saddle. Asking price is 350. Here are some pics received via email.

fair price? anything I should look for when purchasing? any expertise is appreciated.

i'd pay 200-250 for a repainted one of these.
Also it look like the 60cm model, rather than 57cm

The rear derailleur looks to be the steel version, I forget the name of it. The shifter look to lack the cable pull for Suntour derailleurs, else there is a lot of slack in the rear set up. Nits for sure but things to be checked out. Yes its a repaint and not that good judging by the flaking and chipping visible in the second picture. Brakes should be Mafac competition, not racers for that bike. I think what you are looking at is a repainted PX10 frame and fork, with lower grade components out of somebodies parts bin. They are OK, but given the mis, its out of the collector market and more into a rider market. Offer 250, but thats so market dependent, and also just how much you want to have that bike, but reselling for a profit is out of the question, in my opinion.

General agreement on 250 is reassuring. Yeah, the plan is to use it as a rider. Waiting to see the paint in person. The bike is located in the SF bay area. Currently looking for a solid vintage ride, this came up but willing to wait if need be.
