A guy is selling this frame. He doesn't know the year. Can anyone tell by these pictures if this is a good quality frame and what it is worth?

base model manufactured by chiorda. its plate style bridges are a dead giveaway. bulge-formed head. appears it may still have a cup in place in the bb shell from its thompson-simplex type chainset. bulge-formed head, lugs, crown, shell, bridges and frame ends all manufactured by agrati.
may be worth a very few dollars just because of its nominal bianchiness. does not merit putting much effort into. |
That is way more than I knew but I agree just looking at the plate style brake bridge and no RD hanger mark it a low end frame. I am guessing early to mid '70 maybe

frame is as low as it gets in a made in italy bianchi.
the exact same frame has appeared under a great many names. Biachigirll spot on with her dating, just like always. :thumb: |
So it is or is not worth looking into?
What would I pay this guy for this if I wanted it? |
Well it is nice example of a low end vintage Italian frame with pretty cool paint not realy worth it for much more than an interesting SS beater about $50 value. Personaly if your looking to build up a vintage bike I would look for something nicer perferably complete even if bit rough. Myself for a builder I would take basicly nice but slightly rough complete vintage bike over a low end frame like this one any day.
