Neat old bike. The lack of a chain and shot tires is a negative. The brooks saddle is a plus. If you want an old bike to restore, the price is OK esp. given the saddle. If you want a bike to ride, I'd pass; you can do better at this price.

I think that you could get this for less than $100...it has been on CL for 20 days...that usually means the seller is willing to negotiate...anything less than 100 would be a good deal...IMHO

Looks like I'm late to the party. That Gitane looks mighty nice to me. And with a Brooks saddle! The saddle alone is worth 1/2 the price of the bike. And those steel rim wheels aren't bad either. The French made nice steel rims. This is a no brainer in my opinion. $100 is a bargain, go get it.
