Campy seatpost

I have done some research and it seems this is a Record seatpost. I see no "min. insert" marking, which makes it an older version.

Ebay completed listings seem to be all over the place, complicated by the fact that there seem to have been a number of versions of this post. Does the older version fetch a premium? Any thoughts on price?

Thank you!

Bikes: No-name LH drive track. Also ride an Exxon Graftek, a Masi, a Trek R200 or a RR Boneshaker for fun!

You have a Record/Nuovo Record post in very nice used condition. A look at the "sold" listings on the Bay, concurrently compared with the condition those sold items were in vs. the condition of yours, should give you a range. Then you pick whether to start at the higher or lower end, depending on whether you are maximizing the $ you get or whether you need to clear inventory.

G-d, that MBA comes in handy sometimes!

Thanks exxongraftek. I bet it comes in handy more often than this MFA.

$99.99 'Buy Now' as it sits.

It looks short, has it been cut?

My view-
It has not been trimmed, Campagnolo made a "shorty" version. This appears to be such.
The smaller typography at the back is earlier, early 60's is my guess by looking at the finish of the head.
That is good.
Popular size, good.
The bad are the scratches.
And being short.
$85-$100 on ebay.
Unless there are similar units for less. Some want to be perfectly period and have the correct stampings, others just want a Campagnolo seat post. The scratches will hold it back value wise, but polishing those out will not help the value.

Good luck. I can't ever get more than $50 for my used Campy posts. Those posts have always been French 26.4 posts though.

Wow -- could be early 60s. That is cool.

Thanks for the advice all.

Circling back here, just for anyone interested, this sold on ebay for $100 shipped. Was up for a bit less than 30 days.
