Shimano 600 Arabesque-nearly complete groupset

I have a nearly complete Arabesque groupset that I will be unloading soon, but wanted to get some opinions on a price. Its only missing the headset and brake levers. I also have the wheels as well, they are araya rims with a Mallard front hub and ATOM rear hub. 170mm Triple crankset, Dura-Ace cable clamps, STRONG seatpost, SR pedals. Some light surface rust on a few parts that will come off, I just haven't bothered with it. I can take pics of the rims and post them later if requested. Any questions just shoot.

I really don't know but I've seen mini group (FD, RD and shifters) sell for $50-75 on ebay recently so I would guess $75 on the low end. I sold my complete 600 tri color group a couple of months ago and I believe I got around $140 in auction but I've seen that group go for upwards of $300 so either you take some risks with auction prices or you set a buy it now/best offer or sell locally and be patient and maybe have to wait a few months to get the price you want

The seatpost, pedals, chain, skewers/wheels aren't Arabesque.

I would sell the derailleurs together and sell the crankset separate. The crankset should bring >$75 on ebay. $50 to $75 on the derailleurs is about what I have seen.

I've been piecing an Arabesque groupset together for a project, and the prices have been all over the place on the 'Bay (as usual). Had way more success sourcing local (when possible, reasonable sellers help), or on this board.

Not to threadjack but I'm also very interested in this because I picked up a 197?/198? univega Gran Sport for $100 that came with full Arabesque. The spokes were too rusted so I couldn't flip the bike in that condition. So now I want to part out and can't decide if it's better from a cashflow perspective to keep it as a complete group or part that out too. I saw prices for cranks from $75 and up. I think I saw a complete new in box set go for 350ish a while back but I'm thinking at least 120-150 for what you have there in that condition.

First...welcome to BikeForums...

At this time of year, that pricing is quite optimistic for the cranks (I part out a lot of bikes)...you should probably think more in the 60-75 range. Also...you will generally make more money on a complete part out...as opposed to "groups"...whether they be mini groups or full builds. You should do well with parting out the Arabesque from that Gran Sport...but...even parts do not go for quite as much in the "dead of winter"...

Also...always look at SOLD LISTINGS on eBay...not what people are asking for groups...I have bought entire 600 Arab groups on eBay for $75...in decent shape...then "flip" that...by parting out the group and doubling my money...

From Bill..."FWIW: I have not dropped my component prices for the time of the year. Fewer buyers, but fewer sellers too. Just sold a couple of seat posts that I had reposted a few times (at the same price). So posts that did not sell during riding season sold now. A lot of my stuff sells quick (a couple of days), but other bike items can linger."

Makes sense as riding season ends, folks are working on winter projects and needing parts!

Well, as someone about to build up a bike for the first time (under the tutelage of those smarter and wiser than myself) and currently on the lookout for an arabesque groupset, feel free to let me know when and/or where you'll be posting those puppies. I have no idea how to determine what sizes I need for things (I assume that's a thing), but will be gathering the answers to that tonight and will be actively hunting ASAP.

All of which is to say: I can't answer your question, but I can potentially buy your things from you..

I'd love to tell you mooncountry, but I am unclear on the forum rules about such information. I seem to recall reading that we are NOT supposed to do that but again, I am uncertain. In any case. I haven't cleaned and polished the entire group yet so I haven't posted it anywhere just yet.
