Redline Tee-Ex

I recently acquired a Redline Tee-Ex, and I can't seem to find much information about this bike online. The only references to it, so far as I can find, are a couple of outdated ads. The only other information that I have is that, just after I purchased the bike, I had a gentleman who said they were an employee of Redline's approach me to compliment my bike and tell me that he had never seen, or even heard of, that model and that it must be super rare.

It seems like it could be an early cyclocross bike, and it has a chain stay long enough that I would consider touring on it. One of the ads I saw said it was made in 1990, the gentleman that I bought it from (as well as another old ad I found online) said that the bike was 'made in the '80s.'

Does anyone know anything else about this bike? Thanks!

I have two of these bikes and I am trying to figure out how much they are worth so I can sell them. Let me know if you get any more information.

You need to post photos to your user page gallery. We can access them there. pics really help.

edit: Have you reached out to Redline? They are still very much in business and I have to believe someone there will recognize what you have.

Update: Check out post #8 in the following thread

Lugged Redline road bike?

I believe the poster is still active here and can possibly provide more info, and perhaps photos, etc.

I found the following pictures below on the member's public profile.

Hey, Jon!

May have a modest Post Count, but....

Rumours of our Demise are somewhat exaggerated!

Moments ago had hands on a Cinelli stem bought from you years ago. Thanks! It may have a new home on the De Bernardi Max of which pictures were posted yesterday.

(Frog was not staged. The Curtain fell on an Outdoor Shakespeare Play, and there was this Frog on the drops. A few weeks later that bike was stolen while double locked to a street sign which was not firmly anchored in the sidewalk. The Frog remains an Amphibian of Interest. That was a fine riding bike, though smallish.)
