Value & info on Fuji Team?

Yes I know there is a Fuji thread somewhere however I just needed some information fast. On craigs list I found a Team Fuji for $280.00 which has the components listed below.

It is quad butted Chromemolybaum tuubing [sp.** showing a number 9658, i have tried to trace this number but have had no luck.
Can anyone help? And I'm wondering if the Bike is worth this amount or possibly more?

Manufacturer: Fuji
* Model: Team Fuji
* 16 speed
* Selle San Marco seat
* Shifters: Shimano RSX, dual control (brake & shifter)
* Rear derailleur: Shimano RSX
* Front derailleur: Shimano RSX
* Continental Ultra 3000 Tires: 700 x 23c
* Matrix Made in USA wheelset
* Quick release wheels for easy transportation
* Frame size (crank shaft to seat tube insert): 22" (55cm)
* Stand over height (distance from the ground to the seat post insert): 31" (81 cm)

Thank you.

What's the serial number? The tubing number 9658 points to an upper end Fuji, rather than lower. I've never seen a Team with that livery before, especially with the chrome socks on the fork and stays. Are they chrome or is it white paint? Let's see some more photos if you do get it. If it's a Team, the price is quite fair.

Fuji would have put an entire group of same components on a bike at this level. Check the hubs & see if they're also RSX. Matrix wheels are a Trek house brand. This is definitely not a vintage Japanese Fuji. They made these in Taiwan after 1990. If it's really clean, $280 is a reasonable price. But, since it looks like a mish mash of parts - you can always negotiate a lower price.

Moved to appraisals from C&V. Also made the title more specific to the bike in question.

That has to be a repaint but why go the expense of the chrome? Is it snowing where you are? If so offer $200
