CCM Capri
I came across a craigslist/kijiji ad for a CCM Capri 10 speed road bike at the cost of 15$. According to the description, the wheels/tire is in poor shape and the brakes needs to be repaired so its in need of a fixer upper. From my understanding, the CCM bikes are made and sold in Canada and its not consider top quality by any stretch of the imagination. Even at this low price, do you think its worth investing the time and energy in getting this bike working?

Unless you have parts in hand it will be a money pit, but with a good supply of used parts its probably OK, but not a DEAL.

Here's drive-side photos of the ladies version of this model of bike:

It's a dud even if you fix it up.

I wouldn't touch that bike with a 39 and 1/2 foot pole!!
Is that a forward freewheeling system?

Here is a bit of information on Vintage CCM Bicycles.
If you can get the bike running for ten or twenty bucks (not unless you already have the spare parts needed), go for it. Otherwise, the investment will far outweigh the final value, in my opinion. There are plenty of bikes better than a CCM Capri.

I think your right to pass older CCM rough shape, with ashubla crank, likely 26 inch Canadian steel wheels and positron FFS drive train. So the bike wouldn't even be readily repairable. Basically a $3 piece of scrap metal.

From what I see, yours is in red color, mine is in blue and this is my road bike and i can assure you that this bike is very solid and I love his shape..If i'm not wrong, my bike is a 1971..So, for $15 dollars you can rebuilt yours for sure...
