I am becoming really interested in Falcon bikes. A few months ago I picked up a Falcon that did not have any telltale Falcon decals. It has the non riveted headbadge and Reynolds 531 Professional decals. Once I get it built I will be posting it so the experts can tell me which model it is.

I remember really liking Falcon bikes in the early 80's when I used to see them at a small dealer's shop in Milwaukee.
they are not the "high polished" bikes from the top line manufacturers , more like the working man's bike because of their not so fancy detailing and frankly, roughish paint/finish but I do remember them being decked out with the also no nonesense NR gruppos. They kinda gave that honesty and no-nonsense flavor. It was interesting that even back in the early 80's those bikes already exuded a sort of warm old world look to them, even as brand new bikes.....
Thing is, I don't seem to find any of those Falcon bikes that I used to admire in that shop anymore. Just mostly their cheapest and in some cases, crudest bikes. Where did they all go??
Mehhh... maybe I just don't know what I'm talking about and I was just a bike struck college kid back then that would swoon for any bike built on the other side of the pond??
