"Generic no model" Carlton

As the title suggests, the seller claims this Carlton has no model name because they were "generic" bikes. Any idea what I'm looking at?

There has been a wide range of bikes sold under the Carlton label over the years including pretty much every level and type bike you can think of. So more info and some pics are really needed.

Carlton did, in the fairly distant past, make some beautiful hand made road bicycles. Sadly, the name was bought out, along with the shop and, a few years later, the original Carlton ceased to be.

Since then, I have seen the Carlton name surface again, but this time on cheap mass produced and marketed mountain bikes. I would not spend a cent on one of those. But one of these...

"98% of the bikes I buy are projects".
