Old Schwinn bike
Looking to buy a vintage Schwinn bicycle the person who is selling is saying the serial # is 9C60643, if anyone has an idea of the year and more info on the bike looks like a lil chik bike that would be appreciated thanks

According to the serial no. and frame construction and decals I believe it's an '89, the '79 was a completely different animal with an electro-forged frame made in Chicago. What is the 4-digit number stamped in the headbadge? That will indicate the ordinal day and year of construction.

I am almost sure you are right, it is '89.
The s.n. 9Cxxxxx is pretty weird starting with a number (year probably) and letter (month). I found this site and they said Schwinn made bikes in Japan in 70's.
Later Schwinn serial numbers / years made
So, I thought maybe is made in Japan in '79.

the owner emailed me back saying its around a 1985 so not worth it, and made in japan
