DeRosa Frame/Fork, ca 1987 55cm
Sold. Thanks.
I really wish this one were my size, because it's exactly the type of beautiful, solid, but not mint bike I like to ride the heck out of. It's a mid-late 80's DeRosa, SLX, top tube is 54.5 CTC, and seat tube is 55.5 CTT. The paint is in good shape overall, but with a few small paint chips here and there, - if I were keeping it, I would just do some minor touch ups. The only significant items are some wear/rust on TT cable guides, and a dent/scrape near the top of the drive side seat stay. This was caused by the previous owner who, when dealing with a tight seat post (a 1st gen C-Record single bolt) whacked away at the seatpost-to-seat bolt with a hammer, and grazed the stay. Sucks, but it is not accident damage, and the frame is in otherwise very nice shape. No serial number, but judging from the features and components (C-record, SR, Cobalto mix) I'm guessing 1987 or so.
$380 + shipping for bare frame and fork only. Let me know if you want any other pics. Sold.

Ha! Finally a droolworthy, grail-ish FS ad where I can say, "No thanks, got one already."
First time for everything, I guess.

I nearly bought one of those in the mid 1980s when I bought my Tommasini Super Prestige instead. Same color and same size too. And since that would serve the exact same purpose that my Tommasini serves, I can keep telling myself that I don't need it. I said I can keep telling myself that I don't need it. I don't need it.
I don't need it.
Again, I don't need it.
Did I mention that I don't need it?

Some interest, but still available. Stand-over height is 31.5" with 700 x 25 tires. Headset and fixed cup are now off, so frame/fork is ready to go.
Thanks.

BTW, my personal opinion is that it's from 1986, because I looked at an identical frame (in that size and color) and considered buying it in April-May of 1986. I bought my Tommasini instead, because I considered them to be just about equal bikes, and my Tommasini was about $50 cheaper at the time.
