Looking for Dura-ace seat post in good condition. Looking for one that matches the 7400 series.
Thanks.

Darn good question. I am doing a build in reverse. I am putting together the group set, Dura-ace 7400. I actually don't have a frame yet....I am looking for something out of the late 80s, Colnago, Merckx, Paramount...not sure yet.

Buy the frame and then the seatpost. Everything you mention will take a 27.2, which is the easiest one to source, but better to have what you need than something you have to sell to fund buying the correct size. Also, as an aside, Shimano 600 tricolor aero seatposts look the same, perform the same, but cost much less.

I agree the 600 post is nearly identical to the Dura Ace 7400-B post (7400-B being the aero version and 7400-A being the fluted model), but there are some very subtle differences to the slopes of the aero curves. Also, imho, the lustrous satin finish on the DA 7400-B post is slightly nicer. And the DA post weighs ~23g less, though it's not clear to me where the weight is saved. Sometimes, it's most about completing a group--aka OGD (Obsessive Group Disorder).

I am about 80 percent sure I have what you are looking for. In a 27.2 anyway. Let me get you a picture.

Ok, finally took some pictures. There are pictures of the dura ace seatpost here. You will see that it does have some scuffs above in the area section, but not too bad.
