FS: Tommasini Super Prestige Frame and Fork- Great Condition - 56cm

Offered for sale is a very nice Tommasini Super Prestige frame and fork. I have had this for about 4 years and in spite of the fact that I rode it a fair amount, it remains a little too big for me. These Tommasinis are superb bikes, on a par with DeRosa in my opinion. Very fast and stable.

The frame is Columbus SPX tubing which is a slightly stiffer version of SLX with the same helicoidal reinforcements. The size is seat tube 56 c-c (maybe just barely under 56), and the top tube is also 56 c-c.

The condition of the frame and fork is excellent. All of the chrome is in fantastic condition and I can’t find any blemishes or marks in the paint either. The only things I want to note is some wheel rub on the inside of one of the chainstays and the decal on one of the chainstays has been rubbed a bit out of place, which was that way when I got the bike.

I am offering this for sale but I would also be interested in a trade for another Tommasini Prestige or Super Prestige or a DeRosa Professional in a 54 or 55. I might also consider a 53.

Selling price is $495 shipped in the lower 48.

Gorgeous. That is going to make a top shelf build.

Paint job gives it a modern appeal to the point where I think I'd want to hang a brifter setup on it with blade spoke wheels. Yum...

Wish I knew why I can see some pics but not others. I have my own Flickr account but can't see the OP's pics because I supposedly need to download Adobe Flash Player - but then it says my Android doesn't support it. Whatever. Tired of technology designed to become redundant in 12 months or less

Guess I'll just have to assume this is a beautiful frame. My size, too. Oh, well; I'm supposed to be selling and not buying anyway!

Great looking bike and interesting that it is made of SPX which usu. is reserved for larger frame sizes. This will make a really fun bike and concur that a modern brifter set up would look very sharp on this bike.

I'm interested in the frame. Haven't ridden an SPX yet. Let me know if its still available. I'm pretty new to the forum so I don't think I can PM yet.

Missed out on a bucket list frame. Guess I should lurk on the forums a bit more often. Thanks.

More info on Tommasini frame

Could you please tell me approximately when the frame was manufactured. Also, what is the rear spread (126 mm or 130mm)? Finally, how did you measure the frame size? Center of bottom bracket to center of top tube or center of bottom bracket to top of seat tube? Thanks for your help.

Sorry to disappoint, but this sold a while back. Good luck in your search!

All measurements were c-c. Rear was 130. Frame would have been some time in the mid to late 80's most likely.
