I've always thought these were really good looking frames. The black & red with a hint of gold, and those Nervex lugs just look great together.

This would probably be a fine convert to 650B, too.

As another bike got dropped on me last week, my wife would boot me were I to buy another.

This is sure a sweet looking frame, tho. My size, to boot.

sigh.

I recall a pic of a black/red 650b -- link below. Just an example of what it might look like, proof of concept...

Dang! And ain't that darn near perfect!

My Gitane conversion won't fit the 42mm, only the 38mm 650B.

Well, I bought that Gitane brand new in 1971, so I think it'll be buried with me.

And, noted above: "As another bike got dropped on me last week, my wife would boot me were I to buy another."

There is simply no room at the Inn, and my manger got repossessed. . .

No. I've been utterly sated for the past few years I've had the Ritchey. Nope, I got gifted (yes, I can feel the hate that I always projected when someone wanders in with the free Confente some uncle gave them!) a bike. Covered with grease, grit and grime, underneath was a glistening ALAN Record Aluminum, glued and screwed, entire Super Record components. It's an Italian stallion, tight angles, clearance for up-to-25mm tires, and amazingly sexy. I haven't posted any photos yet. It had it's first maiden ride post clean-up just yesterday. Yowzir. BUT, all the previous comments hold true -- especially the wife's gimlet eye!

But I still say this frame is a beauty, and a fabulous rider. I can't believe it hasn't been snapped up in a heartbeat.

All that said, you are still keeping your burgundy Ritchey, right?

For those sitting on the fence...IHMO this is a really cool frame at a fair price. I've already got a Moto Le Champ otherwise I'd be buying this one. Snag it now!

I sold it to another forum member as it was too big for me. I have kept my eyes open for a "replacement" buy like you are finding one hard to come by.......

I've had a GR that was too big and I have a 49cm GR that is too small.
Tempting! And shipping via BF to NNJ is $14.

A great looking vintage frame built with mojo and filled with mayo. As such, it would make a great "Randoneur", "all-road", "gravel grinder", "rough stuff", "all-rounder", "mile eater" and will "plane" more than the Blue Angels doing a barrel rolls in formation.

I think I got all the keywords. I even got a reference to the Blue Angels in there
GLWS!
