1976 Motobecane Grand Jubilé - 54cm

I'm trying to sell this bike again. It's completely rebuilt and 100% original except for an upgraded wheel set. Eroica-ready!

I completely overhauled it starting with with framesaver, polish, and wax. I rebuilt the bottom bracket, headset, and pedals. It has new cables and housing. My LBS checked everything and made some minor adjustments to the brakes and derailleurs to finish it off.

SPECS:

Seat tube: 54cm c-t
Too tube: 55cm c-c
Frame: Reynolds 531 double butted with forged tips
Lugs: Nervex Professional
Fork: Motobecane deluxe tubular, racing crown, chrome plated ends
Headset: Stronglight competition
Stem and bars: Pivo Professional
Brakes: Weismann Vainquer 999s center-pulls with quick release
Derailleurs: Huret Jubilé
Cranks: SR AX5
Pedals: Atom 440
Saddle: Ideale 80
Seatpost: SR
Wheelset: Mavic Module E rims laced to Campagnolo Nuovo Record hubs
Tires: 27 1/8" Pasela Panaracers

This is the original bar tape with Motobecane bar end plugs.

I'm asking $450 or $300 without the wheelset. My strong preference is to sell it locally. I am not looking for trades.

1976 was the last year they offered Huret derailleurs on this model. This one has the coveted long-cage Huret Jubilé rear derailleur, which at 145g was the lightest touring derailleur of it's day (see Huret Jubilee derailleur (2248)).

Thanks for looking!
