FS: Shimano XTR "Prototype" Shifter/Brake levers (8-spd) and R. Derailleur (M950/951)

These are unique, one-of-a-kind prototype XTR 8-speed shifter/brake levers (for V-brakes) and rear derailleur from the 1990s. They were from a GT pro rider's bike that was purchased at VeloSwap back around 1999.

Prototype differences:
- The shifters have "non-stock" thumb paddles and etched numbers on the shifter arms.

- The rear derailleur does not have the XTR graphics on the outer linkage face (assume this was to keep it "stealthy" at races).

The shifter has one clamp bolt that has only 1/2 of the head - it can still be tightened with care.

The rear derailleur is in good shape mechanically but has scrapes from the pro's racing. It is "Rapid Rise" style - the spring shifts up to bigger cogs, opposite of how a standard derailleur works.

Something unique for a vintage mountain bike - definitely a conversation starter!

Asking $35 for everything

Prototype XTR M951 rear derailleur
