Rock Lobster Mountain Bike - Large

SOLD Rock Lobster large steel hardtail mountain bike complete - $700 plus shipping

Yes, I agree this isn't "vintage" but it's at least "passe" by MTB standards with the 26" wheels and straight 1 1/8" head tube! Paul Sadoff of Rock Lobster Cycles has been building custom frames since 1978, a true master.

Seat tube is 22" to top of tube. Top tube is 24". Virtual top tube is 25". In these photos it is set up for a 6" 1" rider with a 35 1/4" inseam.
Everything is in great condition.

This bike is the one that is most difficult for me to sell. Unfortunately the arthritis in my thumbs has gotten to the point where I can no longer ride on rough terrain with flat bars and the top tube is too long for me to ride it comfortably with drop bars. On the bright side, Paul is building me a new drop-bar MTB.

This one is killing me.

I would love to have it, but timing is just a bit askew.....

We are off to Moab soon and it would be great to have this one come along.

Same, a hardtail is one of the few bikes Iíd like to add at this point - this one ticks all of the boxes and then some, same with the Team Chance northbend was selling a while back. Granted, the rigid Rockhopper is enough bike for now, but still...

GLWS, Brent. Thatís quite a deal on quite a bike!

I totally understand.

A hardtail like this would be perfect for most of the trails near us.

This probably would have been just right, but I was offered a Weigle frameset that I had been chasing forever it seems.

Unfortunately I was not the lucky one buying it.

But if I would have been, I would have named it Lock Robster. No question.
