Univega Gran Turismo 54cm
**SOLD** Vintage Univega Gran Turismo touring bike rebuilt as an upright commuter. 54 cm steel butted frame with all the braze ons you could ever need. I rebuilt the wheels (not the greatest wheels), installed a new cartridge bearing headset, cartridge B.B. and ran new cables and housing. Includes Nitto upright city bars, suntour ratcheting thumb shifters and sks fenders. Has just enough patina that you can enjoy the ride and not worry about scratching it. Rides great. The shifters look to be in a weird position because of the bars but they actually work well like that. The saddle pictured is tiny and super uncomfortable . I just used as a test rider so it will not be included with the sale unless you really want it. $300 plus shipping from 46202 OBO

More pics as requested. These show the condition of the frame and components better.

Kinda interesting to see an example of what I'm considering doing with my Univega Via Carisma.
I already have the replacement stem, and a friend has offered a North Roads or albatross bar to replace my riser bar -- due to a shoulder injury the riser and flat bars aren't very comfortable for longer rides now.
Your bike should be interesting for the right person. Those are some nice touches for a comfortable but sporty city bike.
