Update

Shirts will be $19 shipped Con US, will work out shipping elsewhere.

I am out of town right now. Will tally what orders I have, as first shipment is due here 9/28.

I will then order a follow-up shipment and keep them in stock for a while, deal with size issues, etc.

I will check. Once the screen is made, perhaps I can order different shirts.

I'm not making these, simply ordering them made, but I'll check. I've had requests for other colors, and simply do not want the record-keeping issues, but I will check on long sleeve options, comrade. No doubt there'd be a price difference.

I'm losing about $1/shirt. No big deal. If a friend and I actually plan and conduct a steel "event" ride, I'm sure the shirt would be a variation on the same....or a jersey. I'd make up the $1 per shirt loss by absolutely ripping off anyone foolish enough to come to an event I planned.

PM's for ordering price discussions, please. That's the only way I can save and document what you ordered. I put the info on a spreadsheet and check it against the PM's.

Hint: title the PM: Shirt

Agreed. Robbie, you don’t have to do something to get rich...but it shouldn’t COST you to do it either.

Where are you ordering from? I do a LOT of shirt creations for our school...I can see if I can help.

I'm good with the arrangements, as my first order was placed before I even told anyone... The people here on BF have been so good to me over the years, there is no "loss."

1st order ships when paid. It's here and individually separated and ready to go.

19.00 to my PayPal, which I've sent you all.

2nd order closes out next Monday, 10/8/18.
Than, NO MAS.

I've sent reminders, so PM me.

No one pays until their shirt is here in my mitts, so it will be about 10 days for the 2nd order.

I will close the

I still have 3 XL's and 1 XXL available already from the first order.

Those would ship when I get the $19.00. I can reserve for those who don't use PayPal.

Bumping.

Sorry to appear to be slow on the uptake, but what does Non Fiction signify? At first glance, I thought the front read Non Friction, and that I understand. But Non Fiction? I don't get it.

The ambiguity is the attraction. There is a quote out there about "non-fiction bikes." It may not strike a chord with everyone. Apparently, it does for some, as I continue to lose about $2/shirt, and that's my gift to this particular kind of approach to what bicycles are. Gladly given.

Real bikes, or real people, with real issues to solve in their lives. On the one hand, it can mean the cliched "steel is real," and it does match up well. On another hand, it's about people for whom a bike is a real deal, a means to a different end than just a workout. On another hand, it's about what bikes once were, to us and others.

It all came out of my chance visit to Swift Cycles in Niles, Michigan. A non-fiction shop, doing non-fiction work on non-fiction bikes for non-fiction people. It is not a store. It's a shop. Sure, stores work. Shops work at a more gritty level. Swift Cycles is where the mall won't go.

A frame builder once told me he simply got tired of building high end bikes for rich white guys who wanted a status symbol. He wasn't being racist; he simply described the demographic he was tired of dealing with. He wanted to build for people who embraced the ache, the sweat, the mud, and the grind because it was necessary to them.

Perhaps I'm not good at putting this in context. I think Randy lives and exists closer to the gist of my intent than I probably can communicate. He's already there, and has been, for a long time.

If the t-shirt starts a conversation, with a friend or stranger, it's the best $19 you've spent in a while.

Maybe.
